Barry Newton is an electronics integration and automation consultant with expertise in high-end control systems, distributed audio and video systems, lighting controls, home theater and small room acoustics, environmental controls, telecommunications systems and security. His career focus is on large residential custom automation projects and control system software.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from The University of Maryland at College Park. He converted his home automation hobby into a career when he founded Interactive Automation in 2001. He is a Crestron Certified Master Programmer, a CEDIA Certified Designer, and is also certified with the Imaging Science Foundation and Home Acoustics Alliance.
In his spare time, Barry loves to fly planes and ride dirt bikes with his daughter.
Joe Warnett is a Project Manager, specializing in project design-to-delivery as well as customer service. According to Joe, building relationships with clients and seeing them happy at the end of their project is what makes his job so rewarding.
He joined Interactive Automation in 2006 after moving from the west coast where he spent a decade as a post-production editor, working on feature film promotion. He has extensive knowledge in film and video production, and this translates nicely into the electronics integration and automation industry.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and backyard grilling.
